Today is the 12 year anniversary of the worst day of my life (so far)...
April 4th, 2004 Sadr City, Iraq
"Eight US Army soldiers were killed in action that day. We do not know the count of wounded. We are aware that one company alone suffered 14 wounded, all of whom were serious enough to be medevac'd back to the US, and we have seen a media report that said 50 were wounded total."

I was located at Camp War Eagle, part of the 1st squadron, 2nd ACR.

Does this happen often? I thought they usually stay in Germany until they are well enough to get back home.
And thanks for your service

I believe they went to Germany first, then back to the US once they were able.

Can not say thank you enough.
And the words I'm sorry for your lose will never suffice for your suffering.

thanks for your service and sacrifice...
makes me sick when I think about that all we did over there....and all the folks we lost...and we then turned around and let ISIS take over many of the battlegrounds where blood was spilt...
