When does the big one hit and how screwed is Memphis?

quote:

ST. LOUIS, MO — Parts of southern Missouri, Tennessee and Arkansas felt a magnitude 3.6 earthquake Tuesday morning. The USGS reports that the quake hit near Caruthersville in the New Madrid fault zone at around 11am.

It takes a lot of energy to make these manufacture these weather events like snow in south Louisiana. Must be those solar simulators trying to dispense of that energy.

We’ve had a couple tremors over the years reach up here in Louisville. It’s not particular uncommon to get them from time to time.

Prolly not, but it could knock down most of the bridges over the Mississippi in the middle part of the country. That would screw the economy something fierce.

Last “big one” by The New Madrid Fault made the MS River flow backwards for 3 days.

It made church bells in Boston ring.

Different type of plates from California. Earthquakes are different.

3.6 ain't shite. New Madrid isn't dormant obviously, but it is quieter than it should be.

One day you guys will feel something one morning, but before you roll back over in bed, just know that is the New Madrid swallowing me whole.

Or not. It may never happen. Who knows.
