They base it off of 2019 income. Were you or your wife out of work due to Covid in 2020? Our check was lower than the max due to our 2019 income but we're getting that amount back on our 2020 return because my wife was out of work for 3 months in 2020 and that put us below the limit to get the max. When you do your 2020 taxes there will be a place to put what you received for both stimulus payments. If your 2020 income is lower you may be able to get an additional credit.

Final got mine today as well. ‘Mailed’ January 6th

Thats why I pay a CPA but yes we did make less in 2020. Wife and I both had hours reduced due to Covid, and I missed several weeks due to knee surgery and pneumonia. But we didn’t get Covid til 1st week in January 2021. I’m 1099 so no sick leave
