The tank is surprisingly small. Mine gets about 15 combined.

I'll probably be the 27th person to say it, but 4runner.

They could get a late model Toyota Sienna with low mileage and be happier. Although it wouldn’t display that masculine je ne se quois that an old Tahoe of course delivers.

What’s your rec?

Tahoe’s and Yukon’s would be a 2014ish with over 100k miles.

To help:
I don’t think they play travel ball

Honda Pilot or the 2011 Lexus RX 450h.

Need something with excellent gas mileage

4Runner

There's very good reason they command such a high resale value: They last and they're stone cold dependable.

I wouldn't be the least bit concerned about one with 100k on it if it's been taken care of - that's barely broken in. I have a 1-Gen Tundra approaching 300k and aside from timing belt at 100k intervals, tires and fluids it hasn't needed a thing. Our '07 4Runner is approaching 200k with same reliability. I have a friend locally whose 4Runner is over 500k and aside from the above items he just had to replace the wiper motor... what a POS right?

The reason I mention my Tundra is that (for our model years, don't know about current) the Tundra and 4Runner are the same chassis with different bodies/interiors. FWIW the Highlander shares the same chassis as the Camry.

They have since made the Tundra much larger. I think they share the same chassis as the Sequoia?

The current Tacoma and 4Runner are relatively the same size range

2017 - onward (which are just about to start coming off leases for the certified market) the 350L and 450h L have the third row.

(ETA: Of course you're correct in that the OP will not have the third row option, this year, within his price range.)

Accurate - in fact, the new Tacomas are almost as big as the early Tundras (through 2006).

Also accurate. While not on "the same chassis", nearly identical dimensions and a scad of common parts mark these as true siblings.
