Fair enough, man. If this young black dude was randomly seen in some other positive setting, and not in a mug shot with a report attached alleging 81 burglaries and 4 shootings, he likely would not be identified immediately as a thug.

However, allow for the fact that terrible behavior and crime, especially violent crime, is extremely lopsidedly disproportionate in young black men.

The narrative that gets repeated that blacks are picked on by cops, by teachers, by bosses, by judges, etc, and are constant victims of white racism is not only a blatant lie, but also a main contributor to the victim mentality and lack of accountability or sense of responsibility that leads to this very dysfunction.

That’s what’s fueling the frustrated comments by white people who are tired of being blamed for this dysfunction, and simply tired of being victimized.

The latest efforts to “reform” the criminal justice system seem to have done nothing but enabled and empowered black criminality.

YES, we need to stay focused and keep ourselves from slipping into racist assumptions and stereotyping, yes, of course.

But goddamn, it would help if so many black people would stop committing so many crimes.

Maybe he’s saying, yep, looks very much like the last 100 guys I’ve seen on the news who were charged with violent crimes.

Maybe he slipped and stereotyped because he’s RECOGNIZING A PATTERN.

Maybe he’s tired of being told that somehow he’s responsible for the dysfunction because of his racism.

Maybe he really would like to be a part of the solution, but the very act of identifying the problem will get him called a racist.
