They put a stack of pickles on top of my burger. 
At least it only ruined the top bun and didn't contaminate the burger or fries.

no on the ID, I don't bring anything in with me but my phone. once you check out it gives a QR code, they scan it at the door, and usually one of the items and then you walk out. no lines. it's the best.

I'll have to try that next time, every time I am in there they have one checkout lane open and several self-checkout lanes are broken creating a long wait.

if you can avoid waiting in lines and running into one of the cows trying to crowd around the sample people then sams is a pretty easy experience.
