Probably that too. But that was still after untold millions of lives lost and communism in Russia. Maybe if Germany wins quickly, the US never enters the war, the Ottomans dissolve along more natural borders, the Communists don’t take hold in Russia, and the factors that lead WWII aren’t there.

Nobody wanted the war and nobody could stop the war once it began. WWI was a monumental case study in failed political leadership across the board.

Most of the shite we've dealt with in the middle east over the past 30 years can be traced to the arbitrary borders drawn up after this war. So stupid how they were determined.
This too, you really have to blame it on the powers that arose after those wars and leading to WW2 moreso than anything.

It’s pretty incredible what group think does
The French army was the 2nd best army in the world in WW1 and they did extremely well to hold off Germany as long as they managed to.

The 20tj century seemed to be nothing but wars every 20-30 years.

Speaking of bashing France, To be honest I think the French Army gets a bum rap when it comes to their performance in World War II. People look only at the fact France sued for peace after six weeks. But if you look at the casualties the French inflicted on Germany during that six week campaign, you’ll see it was far from the cake walk most people think it was. During those six weeks, Germany suffered the following losses:
