Sorry if this has been asked before. Who holds the rights to broadcast games on mobile? Seems kind of weird that WWL produces the show but can't broadcast it on their own app. Per WWL:

quote:

Q:  Can I get the game on my mobile phone / smartphone / WWL iPhone or Android app?

A: No - You'll only be able to hear the Saints game stream on WWL.com on a desktop or laptop computer. This is an important point: Unfortunately, we only have the right to carry the games on our regular WWL.com stream for desktops and laptop computers.  Another company already holds the rights to stream audio of NFL games to apps and smartphones.  That means we will not be able to offer the Saints game via the WWL.com stream on any mobile phone, on the iPhone app, or on any other type of mobile device. Sorry about that!

Another reason the NFL sucks.

WWL.com basically radio should be able to stream the audio of games.

ETA. You can’t on the phone, you can on your laptop. iirc

WWL says another company owns the rights to broadcast on mobile. Who is that "other" company?

Download the Next Radio app, use headphones (acts as the antenna) and you will get your phone to act like a dial radio. I listened to last week's game on it. Awesome app as long as your phone has a tuner on it.

Do a tunein radio trial. Did it on a road trip over Thanksgiving. Ended up keeping it for pels games. They have all NFL and NBA.

LSU football games are not broadcast on the WWL Iphone app, either.
