This is absolutely absurd. There is NO WAY you watched Manning play football and came to that conclusion. Your post is worse than the OP calling for him to be in the HOF.

b/c he played for consistently and arguably the worst franchise in the league for most of his career. Unable to shine to his potential and achieve statistical greatness. In short, the team sucked hard and would have been even worse (if that is possible) if Archie was not the QB. Put him on a consistently above average or better and he would have been in.

Aaron Brooks was so much better. It's not even close really. Like waaaaay waaaaay better.

I'm so sick of the manning excuses...fact is, he wasn't any good

Not sure if serious but this is true. Archie's legacy as a player is a bunch of fans and journalists who keep saying what if and bagging on his teammates...he was a below average QB...Aaron Brooks >>>>>>> Archie

I once heard Jack Lambert say pretty much the exact same thing about Archie Manning. But you can't elect someone to the HOF on what might have been.

oh I agree. He deserves no shot. I am sure he is as happy as a lark with his boys and the saints

True.
Saying Archie belongs in the HOF makes about as much sense as saying "Aaron Brooks >>>>>>>>>> Archie"

because he is not NFL Hall of Fame caliber?

Aaron Brooks threw 123 TDs to Archies 125 despite appearing in significantly fewer games. This whole Manning was a HOF if he were on another team myth needs to die. Great players will be great, and he wasn't great, not even close. Not even good

You don't get awards for being great at looking out the earhole of your helmet.

So you were a venerable six years old when he was traded?

Talent-wise Archie was the 2nd best QB the Saints have ever had - behind Drew

Fact is that is wrong.
You don't have to be in the Hall to be good.
As far as not being 'good' because he did not make his team good is so laughable that such things must be said only by myopic...(A visual defect in which distant objects appear blurred) 6 year olds playing with their poop.
Hey...how about the thought of using the science of genetics to argue the point...Maybe Aaron Brooks will prove he was more gifted in the long run by producing more offspring that excel at football.

His sperm must go for a ton of cash on the NFL black market.
