I do understand. I don't buy that it is theater. A shitshow, yes.

I also don't buy into the thought that the Saints suck (OP words not mine) because the NFL was out to get them.

To the extent they have sucked, its because the defense has been one of the worst in history, which opinion is bolstered by the fact that the offense has been one of the best. And IMO it comes down to Payton. Offensive mind.


Edit: As an aside, I do understand the idea of being a fan of a team versus a fan of the game. I don't buy into the whole SEC thing. I want LSU to win, and I don't care if an SEC team wins, and depending on who it is (AL, ARK, FLA), I want them to lose all the time.
