Why didn’t we give Martez Carter a chance?

payton has some strange notions when deciding who to keep, often he picks what he thinks are better people rather then the best talent, and he can be pretty bull headed about it when he "likes" a player

CSP puts an emphasis on special teams. Once TLL won the job in 2018 there was no room for another returner on the roster. Scott doesn’t have much value on coverage teams and Dwayne Washington did which is why he got the final rb roster spot. They were hoping to hide him on the practice squad but it didn’t work out. In regards to Carter, they were probably going to bring him in to fight for the return role but cut him early so either they saw another player they liked better or something happened. We also need to take what happens in the xfl with a grain of salt. These are all guys that didn’t make an nfl roster. There could be some gems to be found but it is still a glorified version of the 4th quarter of a preseason game. However, with all that said I have enjoyed watching the xfl thus far.

I would like to clarify that I didn’t agree with Scott not making the roster but that is the decision that was made.
