We usually keep 10 defensive backs. Our top 4 CB's are locks, & there is a huge drop off after them. I have a hard time seeing us keeping a 5th guy here, when our Safety position is pretty damn stacked.

It's going to be very hard for a CB (outside of our top 4) to make this roster
-Marshon Lattimore
-Paulson Adebo
-Bradley Roby
-Alontae Taylor

-Jordan Miller - should be able to stash on PS
-Dylan Mabin - should be able to stash on PS
-DaMarcus Fields - should be able to stash on PS
-Vincent Gray - should be able to stash on PS

Which 6 Safeties would you choose out of these 9?
-Tyrann Mathieu
-CGJ
-Marcus Maye
-P.J. Williams
-J.T. Gray
-Bryce Thompson

-Daniel Sorensen - should be able to stash on PS, but he would be poached eventually imo. He's a decent add for a team with injuries at Safety. He also plays ST
-Justin Evans - should be able to stash on PS
-Smoke Monday - should be able to stash on PS unless he makes a lot plays in the preseason

Badger, CGJ, Maye, P.J. Williams, & J.T. Gray are pretty much locks. That leaves only 1 spot. Still a long way to go, but I'm taking Bryce Thompson over Sorenson at this point.

our secondary is loaded. i've been hopeful for vincent gray, i hope he at least makes the practice squad. thompson and sorensen seems to be the competition for the 10th spot.

Sorensen/Thompson depends on who plays special teams better.

Sorensen has a good rep as a special teamer so I’d give him the edge but it’s impossible to say for certain. Thompson is much younger and a little cheaper AND is under contract for 2023 already so he may get the nod.

The thing with Thompson is that he's been getting reps on 1st team defense at times. I don't think Sorensen is.

Thompson seems like a potential gem that just came into his own.

I don't think we're keeping 7 DBs on the practice squad.

I was just stating that it's possible. I don't think we're actually stashing all of them.

He's was playing all over at mini-camp. I'm sure they will.

I think I read that he can play FS, SS, & the slot.
