Not to turn this into Political Talk but since it was brought up....

People really need to define their terms. People always frick up the left-wing right-wing thing by conflating it with left politics and right politics. Even dictionaries now describe it this way but if you look at the origin of the terms left and right in politics you can extrapolate that left-wing and right-wing is a continuum on a political spectrum ranging from no government control to total government control. Basically anarchy to fascism.

When viewed in this way you can see that many/most liberals can be seen as right-wing fascists who believe in the government controlling many aspects of our lives and that many/most conservatives can be seen as left-wing who believe in small government. Then there are also small minorities on both the left and the right who are the opposite when it comes to government control. There are liberals who are anarchists and there are plenty of war-hawking, neocon conservatives who like big government.
