Except Peat has been playing better than Collins this year at guard... Collins got his arse handed to him vs nyg. Peat held his own against that same ol

And he is not even close to the worst first round pick we have had over the last several years.

He's not even the worse 1st rder in that draft.

Not one NFL team passed on him.

Y'all know how I feel about Project Peat. You draft a player at 1-13 expecting him to be an immediate impact player. Peat is far from this in his second year.

mpact player. If you don't think he's an impact player, I'm not sure what to tell you. He's done his job there. I'd say filling that enormous need at LG has saved Brees from his preseason fate. Pretty impactful.

And yea, you hope to get a bit more value out of #13, but if he continues to play like he does and even improve, that isn't a busted pick. We need to build a dominant line, and the left side has been even with Armstead not at 100% for games 1 and 2.

Do you think he's playing poorly at LG? That is his role on this team going forward, and he seems to be damn good at it so far.

Calling him average is being very generous.

We got a different definition of impact player. I'm thinking like league-wide impact player, pro-bowl/all-pro caliber. Your definition seems to be starter.

I mean this is his first year playing the position and he's been far above the average starter so far. My definition seems to be someone who anchored what was a blackhole all preseason until he moved there.

We're running well going left, and he hasn't given up much if anything to Brees from the guard position.

Pro bowl means nothing to me, and all pro for a 2nd year player is absolutely insane expectations.
