Is reading comprehension an issue for you again?

You said he's considered an elite coach, I'm saying his record doesn't support that

How many NFL coaches have coached currently for 8+ years with the same team? Numbers are skewed a lot by stuff like this.

Yes, I said he's widely considered to be a great coach.
What you said does nothing to dispute what I said.

The list I looked at showed current teams, and usually a coach doesn't come into a good situation

His winning percentage is in the middle tier of active NFL coaches
He has the 6th highest winning percentage among qualified, active head coaches.
23rd all time
The guys ahead of him are Jim Harbaugh, Bill Belichick, Mike McCarthy, John Harbauh, and Mike Tomlin...

So 6 out of 32 currently makes you elite?

Seriously, can you not read?

How can you even say that isn't elite? All of these Coaches have won a SB (besides SF Harbaugh) in the past 5 years. Being put in that category means you are elite...

What is it that you want me to read? Is your message encrypted within what you're actually saying? You said he's considered elite, and I don't consider being 6th elite

So nearly 1/4 of all current coaches are considered elite?

I said he's widely considered to be an elite coach.
Is he not widely considered to be an elite coach? He's near the top of every list, specifically when asked of the players and coaches who actually play the game
Also, Tom Coughlin comes in at 13th overall...

He's won just about 70% of his games over the last 5 seasons yet you're acting like he's lost this huge 2009 edge.

I would argue that most of those people don't know what elite means

he was ranked 2nd in the NFL by the players last year

I question if you even know what elite is.
Posted on 11/25/14 at 11:30 am to TigerBait1127
He's 6-4 in the playoffs, with 5 of those wins coming in 2 seasons

Much like the "QB Tiers" project published earlier in the offseason, I asked what I consider a balanced range of informed voters -- eight current general managers, four former GMs, four personnel directors, four executives, six coordinators and four position coaches -- to provide a 1-5 rating for every head coach. Bill Belichick led the way with 28 votes in the first tier, followed by Pete Carroll (23) and Sean Payton (22). No one else commanded more than a dozen top-tier votes, drawing a clear line after these three coaches in the eyes of the 30 insiders. But another half-dozen coaches were not too far behind, and there were surprises along the way.
Sounds elite

Is winning 70% of the games over the last 5 years considered good to you?
Posted on 11/25/14 at 11:32 am to TigerBait1127
Why are we only looking at 5 years?
