Watching this game is going to be a bit scary to me until the Saints get the lead. It sets up to be a disappointment if the team goes in too arrogant.

Almost every season a huge underdog comes out of nowhere and bites a powerhouse on the arse. And the Saints have no NFL video on this QB. Certainly one doesn't expect much from him but a lot of guys have stepped on an NFL field for the first time and created some magic no one expected. They had a guy who was undrafted and cut by the Packers in 1994 who was making $5.50 an hour at HyVee in 1997 until someone gave him a chance to play. Warner won two NFL MVPS after that. I am NOT saying that is possible. But it is not out of the question that he could step on the field and have one big game if his team is motivated.

I do not think there is a big chance of an upset but they better not get too confident.

I’m more worried about whether my morning dump will be a walk-off or not.

The Broncos were not a good offense when they had a quarterback....what makes you think they will all of a sudden be a good offense with a WR playing quarterback?

Good? Unlikely.

Run unorthodox plays because they have nothing to lose? That could be a problem.

I mean even the unorthodox stuff will be limited. They found out yesterday they’d be without QBs.

I do not think this happens, but I would not be shocked. It's the Saints man, this would be the most Saints thing ever.

Maybe if they had known at the beginning of the week he would be QB I would agree, but they decided he would play QB yesterday afternoon right after the league ruled out all the QBs. It is unclear if he has even thrown a single pass in practice to any of his receivers much less spent any time breaking down game film or installing plays. We have very good defense that competent offenses struggle with so I don’t think this will be as you describe.

Yeah I’ll be upset if we allow more than 2 TDs

I do not think they will. But it is dangerous arrogance to think they can't. They may not be as talented as the Saints or other teams we have beat but they are a team of NFL level talent (In other words, they are not the Jets.) It happens every season that a crap team beats a powerhouse. I do not think it happens here but it does happen. Jacoby Brissett led the Colts to a win over KC last year.

Yes, folks with an IQ over room temperature knew why the Saints do not have NFL film on the guy.

I forwarded your post to the Saints.
I imagine any over confidence is shot now.

Absolutely... The Saints still have to play the Bronco's defense and the refs.. I think both will take it up a notch...

If I am the Saints, I am bringing nuclear heat up front to whatever sad sack is under center.

Very nervous about our makeshift offensive line.
