I think its funny how after 30 years the Saints still suck
30 years?
It's actually 41 years of Saints Suckitude.
Actually, the Saints have had a handful of good years, so, the number is more like 35 years of Horrible Football from your NO Saints.

I really think that there's something wrong with the organization. Yes, there are cycles in sports, and the Saints have had great teams (the "Dome Patrol" era comes to mind) and they've had some great players.
The NFL loves New Orleans and really wants the Saints to stay there. How many other small market teams does the league commit to like they do to the Saints? How many Super Bowls have been played in NO?
The Saints have fan support and league support, yet they simply can't get to the status of being one of the dominant teams. I just think that, organizationally, there's something wrong with this organization...not because of this year or last year or any other year in particular. I'm talking about the "big picture" here.
Maybe it is the city. After all, the only arena where excellence is attached to NO is for great times, great food and great drinks. Maybe there are too many distractions in town.
I'll give them props...they aren't the laughing stock that they were before the 80's. It's a lot easier to be a fan now than it was before Mora came to town, but there isn't any excuse after this long for not being more of a relevant franchise. There's no real "cycle" with this team...just a few freakish good seasons in a organization that has traditionally just been bad.
