OL/WR/OL

Why two OL in the first 3 rounds? We have Strief to a very good, long team-friendly contract. Armstead is looking like a perennial pro-bowler with the majority of his rookie contract left, Jahri Evans is solid for another few years, and Grubbs is looking slightly better now that he is getting settled. You would draft a Center and a possible backup Olineman in the first three rounds?

WR? Round one or two, no question in my mind. But that is interchangeable with a CB right now, and maybe even a OLB (WLB) in the second if it is BPA. Earliest I would address our current Oline needs is in the 3rd. JMO.

We are no way in hell drafting a TE in the first round.

As long as we go "best available", "best available", "best available" then I could care less where they play as long as we don't select more than one QB.

Depth?

We lack it and seasons can be flushed down the toilet because of this. I would have no problem at all drafting 2 OL in the first 3 rounds if they were the best available players.

Though personally I don't think 2 of the first 3 picks will be on the Oline, but it's not shocking somebody is worried about the people protecting Brees. Collectively the OL wasn't very good. They gave up 37 sacks and was easily one of weakest units on the team last year.

Granted after Armsteads first game in Carolina they begin to look better, but crowning Armstead a perennial pro bowler is a little early. Not much of a sample size. He has "potential".

Like I said the Oline is still a concern because they weren't very good last year.

Last year we saw an infussion of youth on the defensive side of the ball, and you saw the effect it had. This year will be the same for the offensive side.

I don't know if I agree with everything you've written here (meaning your entire post), but you did a good job of making a solid argument...good job!
