PATTERSON HIGH SCHOOL AND WE GOT THE PROOF IN BLACK AND WHITE!!!!!! THE CHANT FOLLOWED DALTON WHEN HE CAME TO THE SAINTS!!!!!

FACT......

Purple Knights were using it when Dalton was still in elementary school and the clown that wrote the article for patterson should have done more research...

Goes back to Vaudeville entertainment of the late 1890s. A popular "Who dat?" routine -- one character says "Who dat?" then another says "Who dat says who dat?" -- was pervasive in black stage entertainment throughout the early and middle 20th century. The routine was in the repertoire of the brilliant clown Mantan Moreland (born 1902 in Monroe, La.) who played Birmingham Brown in the "Charlie Chan" movies.

I remember seeing skits as a youth, where someone would be entering a cave, hear something and say "Who Dat?", the echo would then say "Who Dat?", then the character would looked scared and ask, "Who Dat says Who Dat when I say Who Dat? I remember using the phrase back in the 70's.

Now for the NFL to take credit for "Who Dat?" is like Joan Rivers taking credit for "Kiss My arse"
