Fair enough. Even more reason to look hard at him.

We have one of the best Tackle tandems in the NFL. It is the only strength of this offensive line going into the offseason (now including C).

You don't draft depth at #13. You draft guys who are going to deliver an instant impact and start. If he's drafted there, it means we think he play G at an elite level.

And if those players are all drafted before us, we try to trade down or go pass rusher. You can find value at G in the 2nd-5th rounds.

Armstead is the 2nd or 3rd safest player on this team.

OK maybe off-base on that one. I'm trying to cease to be amazed probably.

Anyway, say these ppl. are also off the board:

Ray, Fowler, Beasley, Gregory, and Dupree.

10 total off counting Winston.

What do you do?

We save 1.3 million cutting Strief next year.

We are revamping the OL. Where it stops no one knows.

well i'm assuming Kevin white, Leonard Williams and Mariota are gone too. Thats already 13 right there. And that still leaves either Parker or Shelton on the board. We're fine at 13.

We're guaranteed one of Williams, Fowler, Ray, Beasley, Gregory, Shelton, Dupree, White, Cooper, La'el, SCherff or Parker. Nothing to worry about.

Strife is near the end so that's why I see someone like Collins at OL would be a great pick. I think he ends up at tackle at some point and can play guard as well.

When I say "screwed" I mean the value says to trade back. But run for the hills shouting if you will...

WR is deep so don't like Parker there.

Just because a position is deep doesn't mean there isn't an elite group at the top. Parker falls into that elite group at the top with White and Cooper.

ETA: and ok take Parker out of that list of people. There are still 12 names and thats without naming Jameis or Mariota, and you know at least one of them is going before 13. So, again, we're fine.

Fair enough. Would you take Parker or White over La'El Collins?

White yes, Parker no.

Although La'el vs. Parker would be a very tough call. I like them both and it just depends on who the FO values more. I wouldn't be upset with wither guy there.

Outside chance Collins slips to 13, but that is the best scenario - unles we have traded Brees by than :-)

This is crazy talk. If he's healthy, he's the starter from day 1...end of story.

I would take Scherff at 13 but he won't be there. Then I'd consider trading down several spots to get Collins!!!!

I looked through a seven or eight mock drafts and most have is taking Shane Ray or D. Parker. FWIW

Most of those had Collins going to the Rams. And most had Shrief being gone before our pick. I think only one had us picking Parker with Shrief on the board. Most mocks had us taking Ray though.
