Stills isn't a Lance Moore type.

This meme started in the pre-season, and has persisted till now, even after Stills finished the year with 20.0 ypc.
The guy is 6'0 and ran a 4.32. Lance Moore is 5'9 and ran a 4.52, and this was in 2005.
So, could we please stop with the Lance Moore comparisons? The Saints haven't used him that way, and he did just fine. I'm not sure why they'd start now.

Jesus christ do you just sit in front of the computer thinking of new threads to start? Was this even necessary? Go back to falcons life.

Well, I sort of agree in that Stills can play the outside a little more. But Brees himself described Stills as a faster, bigger Moore. What he means specifically by that, I'm not sure.

No, but I keep seeing this idea perpetuated anytime we have a discussion about our WR.
Why are you in such a bad mood? I'm not pelting the board with excessive threads.

When was this?
This was from this board back in August:
quote:
@AdamSchefter: Drew Brees told @EdWerderespn Kenny Stills is bigger version of Lance Moore, Nick Toon reminds him of Vincent Jackson.
Think Brees kind of missed on Toon

Did it hurt to even type that?

Agree....but I'm holding out hope that he's somewhat of Meachem type where it took him a couple years. But it's not looking good at the moment.

You're exactly right, here is the quote
From the video (although it was few) that I've seen from Stills at Oklahoma, it seemed like he played a similar role as Lance did here. But hey, why take Brees' word on it, when someone on a message board tells you differently?

He's kinda white, slow with great hands, no one around the NFL knows sh!t about him and he dances like a tard on purple drank.
He's perfect!

I don't think he meant Toon is expected to produce like Jackson, he just called them similar type receivers, which I would agree.

It takes a big man to admit when he failed.

Lance played the outside more than the slot. Stills is good enough for a variety of roles

Moore is the closest comparison to what we had in the receiving corp prior to him getting here in the Payton era. He's a lot closer to Moore than he is to a burner type like Devery, despite his 4.32 40. He doesn't play that fast. He more so plays quick.

Finally, the voice of reason.

I disagree.
I think Still will shine in a Lance Moore role. And, I think the Saints are going to do that.
