While I think its a long shot at best let me say that there is not a player or coach currently on our team that could teach Stills as much about being a NFL receiver.

I don't know how you can not like the type of player this guy has always been. Some might call him classless, but I'd call him a true competitor. I would take him on a 1 year deal in a heatbeat. And I think he could thrive playing with Drew Brees...But I do not think we would ever make that deal, and I don't see him playing anywhere but Carolina. Him and Cam are pretty close, I'm sure #1 will smooth things over for Carolina's front office.

They should bring him in and just beat the shite out of him as a tackling dummy.

Yea, because they are pretty much exactly the same payer.

I know Drew likes throwing to him at Pro Bowls. The dude can get open and well...anything to help our offense. I'd say take the chance!

No it wouldn't. There is a rule in place that helps older vets hang around. They count the same against the cap as a player with 2 years experience.
The most they'd cost over a pure rookie is $150,000 which is
peanuts in cap space.
Thanks
I still rather try and get younger, but it makes much easier for us to think about it.

Yes that is a new CBA rule. The vets were worried that flatter cap would have teams squeezing pennies so that was a big sticking point for them to even the playing field with the young guys.

Would be something for Brees to the option of throwing it to Colston, Jimmy, Smith, Moore and Stills. Still think I would prefer drafting WR. The guy from Tulane would already know our system too. Isn't he a lower round guy?

I don't care if Saints fans hate him or not. If a player can help the team win you should be all for it. He's still a competitor and could help bring some fire to the WRs.

THUG have we not learn anything from Richard Sherman.. Steve Smith is one of the last WR of his era with Moss, T.O., Chad Johnson, and Keshawn Johnson. He is a cocky smack talking WR. New Orleans WR core needs that on the feild and in the locker room. If we had that in the locker room with the RB Core Ingram would produce better. Thug is the wrong word for Smith he has stayed with Carolina through the good and the bad. If not New Orleans then I see him going to the Broncos with with old coach.
