The town we lived in took up a collection to help us with medical bills and Home health care, We applied for help with the Musclar Dystrophy Association ( the Jerry Lewis Telethon people) but caught so much red tape from them that Dad had died before that ever got approved. Typically, a normal person back in the 90's would survive for 2–3 years, depending what area of the body the disease started in.
