I’m talking about the second spike dumbass. Even you (thankfully) aren’t stupid enough to blame the first one on Winston. But if you work on your reading comprehension you’ll see I’m clearly saying the second spike was very much related to the clusterfrick created by the refs calling Landry out of bounds. Winston can’t just sit there and get a complete explanation about why it was intentional grounding. He’s got to get his team the play, line it up, survey the defense and make a play. To not realize why he didn’t have an exact understanding of the situation created by the referees screw up in real time is pathetic Monday morning quarterbacking at its worst. I’m grateful, confused as he had to be, that he did everything right on second down to get us in field goal range. It would have been great if he would have figured it all out and not spiked it on third down or taken longer before spiking it. But to take him to task for it is pathetic.

Damn dude, your expectations are super low. I feel bad for you

Yep, it was a rush situation, officials should've let them know the clock stopped.
The level of inconsistency with NFL officiating is truly unbelievable. It was only last season that Brian Flores had a timeout handed back to him after a referee told him that he didn’t need to use it.

What a colossal douche you are and a typical a-hole fan. As someone pointed out, Tom Brady (with none of the nonsense Winston had going on) lost track of what down it was. Joe Montana years ago against the Saints, as time was running out, spiked the ball on 4th down!! Neither had the excuse of the officials butchering an obvious call which threw everything into chaos. I’ll go ahead and support my teams QB who made every big throw he needed to yesterday in the 4th quarter. You can go ahead and nitpick what you can to shite on him.

Absolutely true! That singular decision could be the difference between a win and a loss. I am not a Brews are kisser or Jaimes hater, but no NFL quarterback should lose his cool like that and not realise the situation. If you are not going to run a play before you try the field goal, you drain the clock.

I guess Tom Brady and Joe Montana suck after all. Who knew.

They were the only two drives where he looked "in rhythm" and on time. I hope that's when it clicked for him in 2022.

But you didnt see it right? You turned it off to go do yard work before the 4th quarter magic even happened
I did, and I’ll take the hit on that…

Highlights are awesome to have…

I blame Dennis Allen for that not playing the starters more in preseason. I mean the dude hasn’t played in a real game in almost a year. You need to prepare for more than one series in a damn preseason game.

Lol. Says the guy doing all the name calling. What a loser.
I’d say you sound young and are probably just an immature dude who doesn’t know a whole lot yet, but given your username I’m guess you’re pretty old. That’s depressing. No hope there…

Typical low class “fan” who probably never played a down of football slamming guys from behind his keyboard.

Jameis has a radio in his helmet. You think he wasn't being told to spike the ball?

That’s a good point. I’m sure like all of us who realized Landry was nowhere near being out of bounds that Carmichael was telling him to spike it. On the second one I would think not.

I agree it wasn’t the best decision, but let’s not pretend that Brees hasn’t made 5-10 boneheaded time/clock decisions over the years.
True.

I hear your point, but if someone got hurt during one of those games Allen would have been crucified for that decision.
