Some Doom and Gloom Rumors To Go Along With Today

So I had heard this before, but it is now the third time hearing it from another source. 2 reporters and 1 former Saints employee have all told me this on separate occasions.
The rumor: When Tom Benson dies and Rita takes over, Payton will opt out of his contract very shortly and leave. Loomis might also leave with him, only one reporter mentioned Loomis. All three said the Payton thing.
All said that Payton's relationship with Rita is irreconcilable and he straight up hates her. The organization knows this and that's why the Bensons tried getting Rita into a different business.
Let's just hope Tom can hang on for a few more years. Rita running this organization scares the hell out of me. Apparently she goes through assistants every few weeks because she's bat shite crazy.

Doesn't every head coach have the ability to quit or switch teams pretty much anytime they please?

yeah im not sure what his contract specifics say. Payton seems pretty intelligent and probably put something in there. But that 5 year extension runs through to 2017. Assuming Tom has a few more years in him, the next extension will be interesting depending on when it takes place.

Here's the thing: I don't even think Rita will get the team. I believe the Saints franchise will transfer from Benson to something of an ownership group, headed by Dennis Lauscha (similar to what the Boston Red Sox have).
