Yes, the missing piece for Pete Carmichael is a 39 year old QB. The offense has been shite with Dalton, Winston, Hill, Siemian and now Carr. But he'll probably get right with Flacco.

I don't watch much football anymore but from time to time I'll check out the highlights and look at the stats. There is no possible way you can believe that statement.
This team is completely garbage from the top down and you think an old QB is the missing piece?
You're in for a world of hurt watching this team from now on.

Multiple things can be true.
In a vacuum he IS better than Carr.
His teammates DEFINITELY seem to like him more than Carr.
We have no money.
If the same baboons are running our organization and team next year then it really doesn’t matter what bump gives you. You can’t keep throwing money at bandaids.
In fact extending more bad contracts to get Flacco a decent payday would likely be detrimental long term even if we competed for a wc spot in a division that’ll likely still be pretty bad.
He does show you the that with competent coaching and good drafting you don’t need to overpay for the 2nd/3rd tier of QBs.
Even with giving out one of the worst contracts of all time the browns are run infinitely better than we are at this point. The fricking browns.
