I just caught the very end of a segment on Sportscenter that was discussing Shockey trying to mesh with the Saints' offense. Anyone have any idea what was said.

They were reporting that everything was meshing fine, and that he was staying after practice to work one on one with Brees.

actually shockey is one of the nicest guys in camp right now.. i saw him in TC,. how long it will last?.. hopefully the entire season.

I think the change of scenery will be good for Shockey. From what I can remember the WR's had problems getting open a few games last year, which would make Shockey a prime target this year. I expect a content and explosive Shockey this year. He has a little bit to prove.

Drew loves going to TE's, Gates in San Diego was a pro bowler because of Brees, Shockey should put up big numbers.

Not sure if he was a Pro Bowler because of Brees. I'm not saying that Brees didn't help, but Gates has done alright for himself with Rivers throwing him the ball too.

Everyone compares the Drama and "cancer" to TO and...i really do not see it.
Unlike TO Shockey had been with the Giants for quite a while..not jumping ship after a year with serveral teams. It is obvious Shockey was not happy with the team and coaching. Change could be what he needed, as alot of us need when we are frustraited.
I think that anyone would show some dissatisfaction if stuck in a place they hated for a while..and with American Media there to magnify it, i mean come on, 80% of people working everyday jobs would be considered "cancers"..even yourself at times cause there is always some coworker who is a moron.
As of recent News, should Brett Favre be considered a cancer to the Packers?..
Bottom line, I am glad to Have Shockey on our team...even if he is as evil as Mr. Burns it's Not like we had some Dynasty to corrupt in the first place.

ive never really thought of Shockey as a bad guy. He plays hard and is very emotional. Im happy he is a saint and I refuse to pass judgment until he's played here a while.
