I don't think you understand the context of his comment. The agreement with the Patriots was initially a 4th and a 5th for the Patriots 2nd. Then the Sucs traded up and the Patriots decided to use what the Sucs gave up for a 2nd as a baseline and asked the Saints to raise their offer.

A fourth round pick would put them in a great position to nab a very good OG. I think the talent drop in the 5th will be noticeable.

Of course it will but we saw a player that we fell will have a great impact on the field (we didn't draft him in the second to sit).
He will help us disguise our coverages. Expect a lot of three safety sets this year.
And yeah not getting a guard early sucks but you can't get everything. You have to get the players you have strong conviction on more than taking 20 stabs with guys you are meh about.

Maybe there is a method to the madness to moving up to the 59th pick for the number one kicker in the draft. It might be the poor man's sushi.

I thought it was a good pick. That dude is a beastly kicker. That pick could pay off for them for 20 years, unless he has a case of the yips or something.

There's apparently something there that the Bucs thought it had enough merit to draft a kicker in the second round. Probably not the PATs so much, you know, because they drafted a damn kicker in the second round. Probably not too much TDs gonna be going around in Tampa.
