if you guys think teams spending millions of dollars on players are paying attention to everything they can find that might help them decide how to negotiate for a player and use it to determine the type of offer to make, well you are being naïve about it.
if you want to make a deal for a player and find out the team wants to get rid of a disruption rather then just for needing more help reasons, it most certainly does effect what you are willing to offer because you know you are in a stronger bargaining position.
that said, yes the rap lyrics tweet was just somebody making something out of nothing
