little bit to be different but there is a lot of sense to the pick. I just don't think any club looks at Barnett and thinks that guy could lead the league in sacks. He's a very limited lower ceiling player... imo at least. He can produce and be pretty good but i'm not sure Saints are in love with the talent. ... who knows.

Howard would be a fun pick. I just did a little reading about him on one of those short nfl.com write ups. He could be a real super star here with Brees for the next few years. But we consistently have historically bad defenses.

One defensive end or any defensive player is a step towards improving the worst area of the team yes. You see, how it works is that you acquire one defensive player first. Then you acquire another later. Then all of a sudden you have several new players and potentially a lot more talent especially if you use more valuable resources to acquire these players.
