He's closer to #3 than #15. Even if he's #8 or 7. QBs like that don't fall into free agency in their prime like that often, can't think of any since Brees, and this is only possibly happening because of the aforementioned incompetence of the Skins front office driving the best QB they've had since the early 90s out the door. You'd be a fool not to give him a look.

Saints would be fools to even give 1 second of thought to giving Cousins $20+mil a year for multiple years.

Not just because it's Cousins, but you do realize that Drew Brees is the 2nd best QB in the NFL this season, right?

You have a point here, I'm willing to admit. Ditching Brees for him isn't a good move, Brees still has some years left in him. I never said I agree with that notion. I'm simply trying to say Cousins is going to be a good signing for someone once he gets out of that hellhole of an organization, he's a franchise QB. Even if it's not with us because I see a lot of disrespect for the dude going on.

I don't really have a ranking, but i'll preface this by saying, this is not where I necessarily rank Cousins but I'd say this is the list of players who all have arguments for, at the very least, being as good as Cousins. Couple of things, I'm thinking over the past 2-3 seasons as well as deferring a bit to the advanced metrics guys who study this way more than both of us.

Brady
Rodgers
Brees
Wilson
Ryan
Wentz
Alex Smith
Stafford
Prescott
Big Ben
Carr
Tyrod Taylor(you mentioned Cousins being stuck with meh Oline/WRs...no one personifies that better than Tyrod)

So that's about 12 or 13 guys, so even if you can argue a couple of guys over him, 10th ish sounds about right. Cousins is quite simply not a guy you can realistic compete for a title with the moment you pay him the big bucks.
