Saints need to look at Cincy WR Auden Tate

4th receiver on Bengals but would be one of best receivers on Saints. Maybe can get him fairly cheap

I’ve been subscribing to a few Bengal related YT channels this off-season bc of Burrow, Chase and Shelvin to keep up with their progress. Bengal fans and talking heads love Tate: big body, chain-mover on 3rd downs and makes some MT13 type grabs.
7th rd pick, 6-5, 4.6+ speed. Diamond-in-the-rough fan favorite who makes crucial catches. But it appears he can’t stay on the field due to nicks/covid. If he could stay healthy for 4 months until MT gets back, I’d gladly take him.
Problem is, not only is he a fan-favorite, but WR is a strength, with the other offensive positions (OL/TE/RB2) needing all 4 of those WRs in empty sets to mask the other positions’ weaknesses.

That's a risky move. Personally I wouldn't, but I can see the high upside of that move.

At this point Odell seems less cancerous than MT honestly.
Harris is good but he is a wr 3 at best. Chris hogan is just depth. Have no faith in Trequan smith to be a consistent contributor. Alvin is going to catch 80 balls, maybe this is the year of Trautman.

It would be so nice to be able to dump Peat off to them for a Tate and possibly another developmental piece. Seems like a win/win.

I am not a big Peat fan but that is a horrendous trade for us
