Doubt they want MT especially after trading their QB
Now a more realistic scenario is Watson requests trade to Saints, then the Saints work a new contract out with him, and also trade off several other guys on the trade block elsewhere to free cap up to get draft ammo to help with the Watson trade.

Watson? I know but if he wants to get traded he might sign a new deal to rework the contract to fit the new team's cap situation whoever it is. He'd still get his money just moving it around a bit.
TBH, if Saints weren't in the cap situation they are it would be hard to see him going anywhere else. Saints would have the players to trade for that type of deal if they wanted it. That's why I think they need to trade off beefy contracts like Armstead and Jordan. They both would still get value and you get extra draft picks to help either build around Watson or use to trade for him. They should entertain putting several players on the trade block. Better if Houston wants to players you trade towards Watson for depending on the value they give them. Get max value for the traded players, use it for Watson.
The only question is how much cap magic can we work. It's hard to see it working this year but never underestimate Loomis I guess. Win now kicking the bucket down the road or have a big roster turnover and suffer for 1-2 years before you're out of cap hell. What does this front office want to do? I'm betting on winning now.

quote:
Trade Peat, MT13, 2 first round picks, 2 second round picks for Watson, Fuller
Fuller is a FA and it would take all of that to start the conversation for watson.

I’d trade a 1st round pick for him. Better than picking another center

DeShaun Watson puts us right back in the playoffs year in and year out, no matter who is around him.
