Poor drafting has hindered the saints far more than the salary cap has.
Wasting multiple picks on guys like Davenport, Turner, Foskey, Ruiz, and others is what put this roster behind the 8 ball.
Send off some aging vets, nail your draft picks, and hope Shough continues to progress and you’re on the fast track to playoff team again with even more cap space.
