I'll take it. Get our important positions locked up. Bunkley + Hawthorne + Lofton = instant upgrade on defense, even without considering the change at coordinator.

Bunkley > Franklin + Rogers combined

pain and simple guys, we need a dominant player next to ellis instead of these washed up players that we sign each year that we put next to him
Broderick Bunkley is a monster against the run, and the Saints would be damn lucky to get him.

Bunkley is a fine 4-3 nose man
would be a nice pick up

kind of an Ellis clone. Mid first rounder, didnt pan out as hyped.
You have got to be kidding, right? The guy is disgustingly good against the run, hell last year 11.3 percent of the time, he made a defensive stop when he was on the field.

I didnt watch many Denver games, but I followed him when he was in philly and I post over on their msg boards a good bit.
his situation in philly was a mirror image of Ellis.
ETA: he was traded last year for a 6th or 7th round pick.
that should tell you what his value is, even if he outperformed that trade in Denver.

That tells me he's older and there are some stupid GMs in the league who don't value stopping the run.

yes, i guess nobody in the league values stopping the run.
also, he's 28.
i guess you can just get elite run stoppers in the prime of their careers for 6th or 7th round picks, eh?

I dont have anything to say. Just thought this page needed one guy with a fleur de lis next to his name and New Orleans Saints as his favorite team

Khaled: If I’m Brodrick Bunkley I’m wondering why the phone hasn’t been ringing non-stop. Don’t teams know I’m Pro Football Focus’ top ranked run defending defensive tackle? After having my best year ever in Denver I probably wouldn’t mind returning there, but it would be interesting to go to the Indianapolis Colts and be the centerpiece in their new defense.
If PFF rates him as the top run stopping DT, I'm inclined to agree with them.

in that same study they ranked Bj Raji the worst in the league.
keep citing garbage.

Somebody doesn't watch too much defensive line play, eh? Guy was terrible this year, and wasn't all that great last year outside of the playoffs.

Well, I'm out, because you're obviously trolling.

maybe we can sign him for the veteran minumum since no other GMs are interested in stopping the run and he's "older" (28)
or maybe it was because he was the 14th pick in the draft and spent his entire rookie contract eating boogers on the Philly sideline, lost his starting job, then was traded for a 6th or 7th round pick to a team desperate for DTs.
