Josh I don’t want you to me miserable, I want you to be happy and Also , demonstrate the appropriate level of BLM ideological zeal. I mean NFL football, played by blacks to entertain privileged whites For the benefit of white billionaire owners is fine as long as we take the time to remember why we are here.
For instance, you are worried about selfish stuff like first downs and yards per catch attempt but the players need you to understand more important things like why we need to disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.
Get your priorities straight . This isn’t about entertaining the white man. This is about waking you racistsexisthomophobes from your long ignorant slumber.

So snarky.
Do you do knock knock jokes too?
Look what Drew said happened weeks ago let's see how and what goes down next. Let's see if they have watchable games come week one and talk football till then.
Must we have the same tired jokes and political angle from here on out?
Cause if you wish to kill Saints Talk that's how you do it!

Look, I know you guys ONLY want to talk football. But Drew said it best just YESTERDAY-he respects those who - "bring attention to the social injustices and systemic racism that so many have endured and continue to endure in our country".
And so while I WANT to just talk football, it's my DUTY as a super-woke BLM supporter to listen to what the actual players are saying, and follow their lead. I mean-Drew Brees said it just yesterday :
Football is football. We can selfishly enjoy it like generations of white-supremacists before us have done. Or we can do as the players want, transform our outlook to embrace the struggle, and remember our true "focus" is to accomplish things "together" for " social justice". I'm not sure why when Drew says it it's "courageous and long- overdue" but when I say it it's "gtfo". You guys should try to be less privileged in your whiteness and listen to what they are saying to us.

No one is forcing them to play, just like the NBA players. They are being paid a ton of money. Only they can decide if the money is worth the risk of injuries or illness. Anyone on this board would give their left nut to play professional sports as a career. Putting professional athelets on the same level as the oppressed poor is a joke...

I wonder if Ty Montgomery will count as a RB or a WR!

Interesting article in the Advocate today about how Fowler made his way to training camp.

quote:
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders needed to work on his chemistry with quarterback Drew Brees.
...
in late June when Brees went to Denver for a few days. Ahead of time, Brees told Sanders he wanted to maximize the work, so he asked if Sanders could bring along a second receiver.
Enter Bennie Fowler III.
quote:
A couple rounds into their workout, Brees asked Fowler a question: Are you with a team right now? Fowler's answer? No.
"He was like, 'I'm going to call our guys right after this,'" Fowler recalled Brees saying.
Fowler didn't know if Brees would keep his word, saying that if nothing ended up coming out of it, he learned a lot from working out with the future Hall of Famer.
A day or two later, Fowler received a ring from his agent.
"'Drew really did call (the Saints) about you,'" Fowler recalled his agent saying. "Whatever you did, you must have really impressed him."
The Saints signed Fowler a month and a half later.
Why?
"They ended up signing me because Drew vouched for me," Fowler said.
quote:
Fowler's history, paired with his size (6-foot-1, 218 pounds) and skills, are all part of what stood out to Brees.
On Monday, Brees gushed about Fowler for nearly two minutes.
"He's a guy who came in as an undrafted free agent so we say that he came in the hard way, right?" Brees said. "He's had to earn it each and every year. He's had to play a ton of special teams. So, to me, those guys are just football players. Whatever you need them to do, they're willing to step in and do it, and, at times, that's the dirty work."
quote:
Even with Brees' recommendation, it's not a given that Fowler will make the roster. As it stands Wednesday, the Saints have 10 receivers in camp with four can't miss players to make the 53-man roster in Michael Thomas, Tre'Quan Smith, Deonte Harris and Sanders. The Saints typically carry six wide receivers into a game.
