I've never understood why they kneel the ball in preseason games.

The whole point of preseason games is to get a look at your players and get them some game-time action. Why would you waste plays kneeling down? The score is irrelevant. The games don't count.

Running a play risks losing the game and injuring players a-hole

because running a play with 50 seconds left and risking an injury for no real reason is stupid.

Avoiding injury is another consideration in the preseason

The kneel down and the hand off are the two plays the backup QB will be asked to run the most (baring injury). Good practice.

What is your fricking problem prick?

By the way you're fricking wrong.

Doesnt matter if you win or lose this game that's not the point of the game. It's a preseason game. It's a glorified scrimmage. The point isn't to win, the point is to get playing time for guys who probably won't get playing time during the season.

And risk of injury is a poor excuse. Why play the fricking preseason games at all if youre worried about injuries? Why not start kneeling down at half-time? Why not at the start of the 4th quarter?

Why don't you try using logic instead of being a fricking prick and slinging names like a fricking 12 year old?

It’s rewarding to the players. They fought back and deserved the win and not to lose it to a marcus williams type play

Because through the entire thread I've tried to have reasoned discussion and I get called a douchebag, an a-hole and everything else instead of somebody actually addressing the topic.

I simply Asked what the thought process is behind kneeling the ball in a preseason game and chad calls me an a-hole for it

You were the first person to respond to my question about kneeling in preseason games and you called me an a-hole for asking it. What explanation are you talking about?

We also may play these guys in post season, why piss them off by trying to score again?

I technically didn’t call you an a-hole. Commas matter.

I don't know. I figured it would just be a given that everybody would agree to utilize every play available to them in regulation of a preseason game. If you're essentially not keeping score I would imagine you would want to get as much playing time in as possible

Oh shite. You're right.

My bad.

It would suck if the players injured their assholes. That's like a three-week injury
