Long term deal we would. If he played under the WR tag, we'd have to make some adjustments.

Makes me wonder how this plays out. And if not signed long term, who restructures and/or gets cut.

1.9M under. Not bad, not bad at all.

He counts towards the Pelicans cap. We're good.

He is franchise tagged. $7M is already on the books for Jimmy.

If he is tagged as a WR, then moves will need to be made to accommodate that.

How much unused cap space is allowed to be transferred to a following season? Tis what i want to know.

Yeah that sounds about right. I think the rookie class was estimated to cost about $1.2m with the 27th pick and a 3rd rounder(top 51 rule in play). 20th without the 3rd rounder likely costs the same cap wise. We had $3.1m in space before iirc.

Most of that is from Cooks and a little from JB. The rest might count "pennies" more than the guys they replaced in the top 51.

So barring a higher adjustment for Jimmy, that will be money for the 52nd, 53rd, and PS players once the regular season starts and a little left over for an emergency signing or two.
