I don't remember this...

Of course I don't remember hearing Samuels name being mentioned at all now that you bring it up.

The truth of the matter is, the Saints don't really have a #1 receiver to shut down. Brees gets the ball to whoever is open. I would look for Lance Moore to have a big game Sunday.

IMO I don't think Colston will be shut down. In the games against Andre Johnson (Walters Out) and Randy Moss (Welker out) those were the only real threats the secondary had to worry about so they basically slid coverage to help over the top the whole game. Obviously we have a few more weapons in the passing game so if they are foolish enough to put that much focus on Colston Brees should easily be able to find open receivers all day long. Last week against the Titans they didn't have a star reciever to focus on and the Titans actually threw Revis's way a few times when he was in man coverage. And call me crazy but I think Brees is a little better than Kerry "Tom" Collins. I predict Colston with 60-70yds and maybe a perfectly placed back shoulder TD by the goaline.

Correction Kerry "Vodka" Collins. I had so much hope for him when he was here. Boy was I dissappointed.

Meachem Mania will run wild! I'm not conceding to Colston being shut down though. Everybody has an off day, this very well could be Revis'

I looked at it like this Jets have to pick there posion. If they decide to put safety help over the top of colston look for shockey and others to have a big game. The saints is going to kill them with slants IMO, so go ahead put extra help wherever you need it Jets your still not going to stop the Saints offense completely. No matter what you will need to put up 2O something points to win and i think Dirty Sanchez will be exposed by GW this Sunday. Go Saints

You've gotta take the same approach as you would here:

gotta work the middle!

Revis is going to shut down Colston
I'm not willing to concede this yet. Colston's big plays don't usually come one-on-one down the field. He works shallow routes over the middle and takes advantage of matchups in short yardage situations. Colston has plenty of games where he has only 8-9 yards per catch. The ENTIRE Texans and Pats offenses were embarrassed, and Gage <<<<<< Colston.

I'm not saying Colston will have a huge day. But 6 grabs for 50 yards and a TD on a goalline fade isn't out of the question. There's no denying Revis can go toe-to-toe with any WR in the league and at the very least hold his own.

That said, it won't hurt the offense too bad if he is shut down since Brees distributes it so indiscriminantly.

+1000. You would need and extra defender or two to consistently cover all of our weapons.

Yeah, I understand that Colston is a beast. He is taller and stronger that Revis. But I have watched Revis a few times and know that he is an outstanding corner. I really didn't mean to take anything away from Colston. More along the lines of who is going to step up this game to help Drew out.

I did some looking because you proving me wrong was bothering me. So, I found out that Washington caught that TD pass on Lowery, not Revis. Wrong twice in one post!!!

The Jets arent goin to give REvis as much safety help as they did with Johnson and Moss. Colston going to get his.

IMO, Bush should have a HUGE game on screens alone. The Jets have been living on the blitz and Reggie is the best type RB you can have against it.

I've been frustrated as any with him lately, but I think his numbers are going to be huge this game.

i agree with prom. i think reggie will have alot of opportunities to be one on one with defenders, and we all know what he's capable of in that area.
