CBS has reported that former Saints assistant Mike Cerullo will participate. His testimony becomes critical in light of his sworn statement and his email to the league office from last November, which dusted off a cold case and set the entire bounty process in motion.

But CBS reports that, while the players involved in the bounty appeal have been told that former Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams will testify, Williams has “rejected repeated overtures to do so and continues to do so.”

It doesn't surprise me. Goodell has his by the balls and he ain't letting go.

Honestly, on one hand, I don't blame him, because one giant, arrogant a-hole is holding his meal ticket. On the other hand, you just threw all of your ex-coaches and players under the bus. Pretty shitty.

His meal ticket is gone, he'll never coach again. He should man up and stop being Goddell's bitch.

I don't think many players would respect him after he threw all his guys under a bus by not testifying.

No. Maybe he gets a consultant position but that's it.

This should be good for the players, assuming Tagliabu is truly a neutral arbitrator. He should then not rely on anything Williams has had to say about this whole situation.

In an even valed attempt at fairness GW needs to testify. In light of MC / GW conflict in testimony there should be no option here.

What player would listen to this guy now since he threw his former players under the bus.

He will still rely on his sworn statement. I'm thinking the NFL doesnt want him to testify bc he might get raddled being in the same room with his former players and throwing them under the bus

Perhaps Mr. Goodell should be educated as to the fed courts' disapproval of witness tampering.

Yes. And he is doing everything he's told. But I digress. He will get some horseshite position not in direct contact with players.
