So there was a guy on NFL Network talking about how Reggie's big playoff games will make it difficult for the Saints to keep him next year.

If he has big games there's a chance some team sees this, thinks he can be a full-time back and offers him a huge contract. At the same time, it might show us how valuable he is and keep us from letting him get away.

If he struggles then there won't be many suitors and it'll be easier for us to restructure his contract. At the same time, he's scheduled to make 8 mil next year so he might be too expensive for us and we might have to let him go.

Now in no way am I hoping he doesn't do well so we can keep him but I'm just wondering what people think.

It also increases his trade value...I think they'll restructure/extend his contract though.

Let him go if he asks for too much $. Injury history alone does not justify a huge investment. Shifty undersized RBs that can catch the football are not rare.

Agree- I want him to remain a Saint, but it's not like he deserves an increase or top dollar...
