The Saints are not paying any RB anything near 16 mil a year.

And just because NE does something doesnt mean we have to. Its not necessarily going to bring the same result.

I agree but that is probably around what he is going to ask for. Even if he asks for less like 13 million (Bell range). That is still too much.

Depending on his asking price and what you can get for him, trading Kamara is absolutely on the table.

If you can work out a reasonable deal, great.

If you can’t work out a deal and someone is offering a good trade, take it.

If you can’t work out a deal and aren’t getting great trade offers, make him play out his last season under contract.

Just watched his highlights from the Seattle game this past year and holy hell- we may lose that game by 25 without him. He is so god damn good.

Go watch the tape if you need a reminder of how good this guy is when healthy. Nobody fits better in a scheme/system/place that AK does with our offense. He is a special talent and a high character guy. Don't take that for granted

I’m not denying the fact that he is a really good and special running back. I actually really like Kamara and understand he was hurt last year. He definitely didn’t look the same at the end of the year. However, I still don’t believe we should be signing him or any running back to huge contract. They are a luxury and have a short shelf life. Look what has just happened with David Johnson and Todd Gurley.

I know this is a joke but he will be a free agent after this year. We can’t trade him at that point unless we tag him or resign him. Both of those options would be a bad move from a cap stand point bc he would get guaranteed money

Look at the trend. They absolutely can and will if the price gets too high tag and trade him.

Don’t know if we have the cap for that. We will have Latt and Ram on 5th year contracts unless we extend them which we probably will for Ram at least. Plus we will be paying Brees regardless if he is on the team or not. Taysum going to want a little more money if he is the guy. If anyone can make that work it is Loomis.

Actually this brings up another point. If we going to roll with Taysom then our offense is going to change to fit his skill set. The perfect fit with Kamara may not be so perfect once Brees is gone.

Saints are going all in to win this year. AK41 is the main weapon in this offense. Probably even more than MT13. No way they trade him. Not for a 1st, not for a player. Payton loooooooves Kamara. He’s not going anywhere unless he holds out which I don’t see happening.

If we were looking for a RB in the draft, I’d go Cam Akers as a Murray replacement.

Nobody is going to offer a first but if they did he would be gone in a heartbeat. Also, you are delusional if you don’t think he will hold out. If he in fact doesn’t plan on holding out then I would just say let’s keep him for this year and let him walk next year. We can’t sign everyone.

Theo Riddick or Chris Thompson. Both are free agents and should be cheap. Would need to check on Thompson’s health.

They both have limited abilities running the ball. We would need another back in case Murray went down because neither of those guys can give you more than 4-5 carries a game.

That’s why RB is a sneaky need in the draft, unless they really like Dwayne Washington which seems unlikely

Of course, we are not going to go into a season with only 2 running backs. However, you can find early down running backs all over the place. Free agency, Day 3 of draft, and even UDFA

It’d have to be a guy available late in the 3rd.

Swift, Dobbins and CEH won’t make it there.

Maybe Cam Akers or Jonathan Taylor

Taylor won’t be available in 3rd. He’s RB1 or RB2

So who are those guys? Cause my point was just Thompson or Riddick wasn't good enough to replace Kamara.
