hes not trying to screw anyone
DE is a much more premium position than S or RB, and he thought grant was going to be a good player for a long time, a lot of us probably thought that
sharper is old and his body is breaking down- fact
pierre is a RB, and you dont invest big money in RBs unless they adrian peterson or chris johnson, period

I guess that's justifiable to y'all. only person that deserved it was Smith and he just came around last year.
and Sharper may be getting old, but he certainly deserved more than that shite Loomis gave him.

Lol at paying PT 7 mill a year.
Posted on 5/28/10 at 7:13 pm to AlejandroInHouston
7 mil is kind of high, 4 to 5 seems reasonable like some have said on here, but you can't blame this kid for trying to get as much as he can, he has been the Saints most productive RB and a RB's career is one knee injury away from being over.

tubo, any good player at any position helps to change games.
However, you're joking if you think teams put a bigger priority on acquiring/drafting premier DEs than the same on safeties/rbs.
Would be interesting to see how the average salary of starting DEs compares to starting safeties or RBs in the league.
And, AND, think about this.......your choice, if PT gets hurt or DS gets hurt and both miss the same amount of games, who has the bigger negative impact from game to game?
Seeing it from your POV, it's Thomas I would assume.

I disagree with this.
I think most people thought the FO had lost their freaking minds when the terms of Grant's deal hit the wire. The Grant deal caused the same shite that the Bush deal is causing now. The team paid Grant TOP 5 money with Smith's deal right around the corner. BAMMM, Smith does a "Me too".
End result: We paid 2 average DEs Top 10 money.
If we hadn't gotten Brees, Grant and Smith would have been Loomis' "Waterloo".

only elite DE's get that kind of money
not the Grants, and McCrays, a top RB will always command more money than a DLineman period. and elite safeties like elite DE's are paid about what and what.
I'm not sayin PT is in the class of elite NFL backs, but he is the best the Saints have right now, and before Darren Sharper arrived it was bombs away on the Saints secondary.
Loomis could have at least given the man 3 mil not 1.5.

lol, guy, lay off the
because it's getting
or
since it doesn't
and certainly isn't
. Just makes me wanna
so
.
In any case, I definitely don't think Charles Grant or McCray are elite DEs by any means....what I'm saying is, a top DE is usually on a team's want list more than a top RB.
Comparing Thomas to Charles Grant to me just doesn't make sense. I think we all realize Thomas at his position is MUCH better than Grant was at his.
And Sharper got paid what he's worth. Period.

you are right, Thomas doesn't compare to Grant because he is one of the hardest workers on the team. You have no clue wtf you are talkin about, just STFU.

and it wasn't only Grant and Smith he signed to those deals, but overpaid for McCray at 20+, and he hasn't done much of shite since being here.

so, instead of bringing up something valid, you decide to resort to....something a young child would do? Irony at its best.
And you obviously have no idea what I posted. Relax.

Um...ookkaay. I have no idea what this has to do with PT's contract extension. Not really sure why you have to approve of me, but sure.

the mumbo jumbo shite you are posting makes no damn sense, you can reread my posts from the start, those are valid points, so I don't know what hell you are talkin about, but I'm not about to waste time on BS.

Not arguing over that at all.

Yet, you come back to put that you're not going to waste any more time on this. Mkay.
I realize you can't wrap your head around something different, which is ok. I just didn't realize it was that bad.
In relation to "valid points", Loomis intentionally screwing over Sharper and Thomas is debatable at best isn't it? Nobody's arguing the fact that the DE contracts Loomis has drawn up have been pretty idiotic.
