No Freeman was having a bad day. His passes were off mark

in both rematches against division foes the Defense has played a lot better than the first time around. The D-line played good against ATL and put a lot more pressure on Ryan. Same thing with the Tampa game. Its funny, when they decide to show up the D doesn't look all that bad. Hell, even Sedrick Ellis played well last Sunday.

I was at the game, so I didn't have the benifit of watching replays consitently, but Freeman had a bad game. He overthrew and underthrew receivers all day. I was actually surprised they didn't just run the ball with how bad he was playing.

Greer is always matched up on the other teams best recievers. He does let people get behind him, but that seems more like a scheme problem. We are playing a lot more zone this year but I think Greer is still our best CB.

Not sure where you are going with all this Patty O, but PRob still looks lost at times. He can run with anyone and fight for a ball. But he doesn't seem to have a sense for the ball.

White is playing much better. I was afraid after how he started out the year.

And I agree with the lack of pressure. In all honesty, our defense benifited greatly by Freeman's poor play on Sunday. There were two or three plays where WRs were wide open and he just missed them.

on Bush's interception, it looked like Vincent Jackson ran the wrong route. I was at the game too. I mean he threw it no where near Jackson. I don't know, maybe Freeman was confused by the coverage or something. Either way, looked like a communication problem between the two.

Wow, we were all bitching about PRob, too

i don't know why. he has had a couple of games since the resurgence started where he has given up big plays but he has never looked like toast on any one play. I think he is in for a huge year next year and have been pretty happy about how he has played.

All of our DBs are inconsistent seeing as the opposing QB's usually have forever to throw.

Thank you.

That is at least half of the problem.

You can't ignore the missed tackles by the DB's though. That has been the most annoying thing to watch this year IMO. And its not just one guy either, its a collective effort by the DB's.

But like you were saying, if the D-line got more pressure, the DB's wouldn't be in those situations as much.

I don't share many peoples low view of our CB's.

Greer has had his worst year as a Saint. Slowed by injury and age. Still a quality NFL CB.
Robinson along with Jenkins gets the award this year for most career reversing performance. If he doesn't step up next year White could pass him.
White has been a good looking pic so far. Perhaps the best tackler in the secondary.
Mack is a bit of a surprise. Has looked more comfortable of late in Spags system than some vets.
I am in the camp that holds CB's have the toughest position next to QB. On top of that its just been a bad year in most part for the entire defence.

He has the worst ball skills of any DB on the team. He looks completely lost when the ball is in the air, and is rarely in a position to contest a deep throw.

As I was saying...dude just isn't good.
