Riley will definitely play the strong side and is a stout run defender, so he would become a candidate to replace Fujita if drafted. If we somehow haven't selected an OLB by the fifth round, then we should take him.

The Saints also talked a lot to Chad Jones at the pro day also.

1) Of course the Saints will send someone to a Pro Day that is 1 hour down the road.
2) Of course that someone will talk to the athlete if he is there.

Reading way too much into this.

Karl Dunbar went to the ULL Pro Day day for the Vikings. He was "Home", and it was the day after the LSU Pro Day. I'm willing to bet that he a) talked to some of the players, and b) it means nothing during draft day.

I am not one that wishes the Saints drafted every LSU player but I really believe Perry Riley will be a good NFL player. Would not hurt my feelings one bit if the Saints drafted him in the 3rd round if he was available. He is the only player off of last years LSU squad I would like the Saints to drafe.

Perry Riley and Jacob Cutrera had almost identical career statistics at LSU, and almost identical Pro Day numbers. Should the Saints draft Cutrera? I didn't think so.

That's because they were "almost" but not quite.
