There are plenty of reasons to dislike Benson. Being "cheap" when it comes to the team itself, however, isn't really one of them.

I don't even think there are a lot of reasons to dislike Benson. Winning would have erased a lot of the animosity, but he isn't a bad owner. He doesn't get involved in football operations, he kept the team here when it could have left, he has a good relationship with the other owners and he is a good citizen.

A lot of the dislike is probably envy and not grasping he is managing a large business besides providing entertainment.

I pretty much agree. He's kind of an irascible guy, sort of like yourself. But that's okay. He was a bit of a pain in the arse shortly after Katrina, but it worked out.
