People overrating something doesn't mean that there was no legitimacy to the logic, it simply means that they may have put too much stock into it.
So again, yes, stats can be misleading in this case, especially when not put into context.

the saints as a whole had a bad year not just reggie, so maybe reggies medicore play is a reflection of the team

bush is a 200-lb guy who can't carry the full load. i think this fits in with the argument against bush perfectly
he's small. he will get injured carrying the full load. he would fit better at WR b/c he has WR size
it's just another factor that points against bush that is reflected in his stats

that's a stretch if I've ever heard one... you should run for office with lines like that.
You have deduced that Reggie is injury prone from a single incident in a two year NFL career so far... wow. And on top of that you can't even admit that his injury is an example of a factor that can prove misleading in stats, claiming that for Reggie in particular it works in conjuntion with the stats... amazing.
