the ones on the video look pretty tattered.. lol the 70's
I went to that Super Bowl and I'm certain they were not Saints flags. I think they may have only put up the competing teams' flags at the end zones or had flags for all the NFL and AFL teams as well and also NFL logo flags.

Good insight. The one they showed on the video looked red and half was gone.. so not a saints flag. i have seen the super bowl 9 flags on that vid.. maybe ill just make saints one based on steelers and vikings they had

you recall anything they changed or updated for super bowl 9 i can use in the model?

My dad and I actually went to that game but we didn't go inside the stadium. We both decided it was too f'ing cold and we didn't really care who won.

My dad went into a nearby building and GAVE AWAY our tickets to some random stranger.

We went home into the warmth and watched it on TV.

Great stuff man! Love it.

I probably have the largest private Saints collection other than the Hall of Fame. If you need any images of tickets, programs, pennants, etc, let me know.

At about 1:40:20, as the camera sweeps the stands, you can see a Jax beer backpack and then a popcorn vendor.

And at 1:42:45, at the top center of the frame, there's a soft drink vendor in the crowd. Another one at 1:42:10.

At 1:43:12, there's a hotdog vendor in the aisle.

As the credits roll, there's very a clear sequence of the flags at the top of the stadium and they look good! Tapered with a notch at the end.

Not a cardboard box for popcorn. It was sheet metal bent and formed into a tray. It had square cutouts on top where the "squared cone" popcorn boxes were slotted in. I remember them being a silver/gray color, but I could be wrong. Definitely metal, though.

Unfortunately, Hulu didn't allow me to screenshot anything or I would have posted pics.

OK, so I took a pic from the screen. This is definitely popcorn being sold, and it may be a cardboard box being improvised, but the normal carrier was metal. This photo could show metal with a gold reflection or even sunlight reflecting off it. I don't see a shoulder strap.

Could also be a customer carrying popcorn back from underneath with other food in the box, too.

Here are the flags, although you can see them much better in motion:

Yes.. thats an awesome shot.. From that I can piece together some clearer flags. Thanks.

Since you are looking at the video.. Maybe you can clarify some things I have tried to figure out...

Did you see what I meant about the North Stands at 1:29:48?. It looks like behind the vendors its dark with grass and dirt.. did they fence that part off or were there paved paths under.

My guess is the restrooms are further under there in a cinder block building.

At 1:30:37 you can see the Dixie Beer house and the Freys vendor as well. Were these typical of the vending shacks? I have seen them in a Super Bowl IX video as well.

I see a fence in front of the ramp but I have yet to figure out how the fences were set up in there and how they routed people through it to the upper ramps.

Also heres a question I wrestled with.. on the night time shot you can see the sign that shows the North gate ramp. But its at a werid angle and not over the ramp. Is that moved for the movie? I put it perpendicular to the ramp so you would see it.

At the 1:28:19 point they go under the metal "gate" if you look at current google maps streetview those gates are all still preserved at the end of each street off Calhoun.. they are behind a fence but they are STILL there.

Anyway thanks again.. Fun to have someone else try to parse this movie out with.

At 3:06, there's a kid carrying a popcorn tray right in front, walking away from the camera, but it will give you an idea of what it looks like.

Yep.. This will help get the dimensions scaled right. I figure the popcorn boxes to be typical scale

Also.. on the movie at 12:29.. it is DARK. was this the normal? outside the gate there looks like an odd metal rack of some sort on the left side of frame. Any idea what that is?

On the same scene.. right in front of the ramp you can make out the sign that is parallel to the ramp. i can't make out words clearly but I think i determined they said entrance to north grandstand and the letters of the sections.

I think that's a night shot.

I'm not sure what that rack was for.

Figure they are about 3 feet x 5.. tapered with a "v" cut on the short side.

Look for updated flags on next version.

Funny reading the credits Mecom and the GM Schwenk are in the movie.
I will need to figure out where..
