PFT-
The game of the week -– sorry Favre fans -– has the most confounding betting line. The 3-0 Jets are 7-point underdogs after dominating the Texans and Pats, then beating the Titans?
If the conventional wisdom is that Mark Sanchez has been carried along by his defense and offensive line, well, the conventional wisdom is wrong. The kid has made a number of impressive throws in each win, far more than you’d expect from a rookie quarterback.
Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams will show Sanchez blitzes he’s never seen, but Rex Ryan’s wild bunch on defense will also make Drew Brees scramble more than he’d like.
The Saints are more complete than they have been in Sean Payton’s era -– their run defense is competent, and a healthy Pierre Thomas will lead an improved running game. But the Jets are strong enough to win the battles in the trenches on both sides of the ball, which will keep this close throughout.
In the end, the quarterback difference and a little home cooking will get the Saints to the quarter pole undefeated.
Pick: Saints 24, Jets 23

Saints have trouble finishing in the redzone because of inability to run the ball and settle for too many field goals.

Saints go into halftime up by 12. The Jets come out feeling the pressure after the break and the rookie gets a reality check.
Saints 31
Jets 16
I will be bringing the my #68 jersey out of retirement for this one. Of course I'll still be wearing my #9 jersey under it.

What is wrong with predicting the saints will have trouble running the ball inside the 20 for this ONE game. I don't care what they have done the previous 3 games. Have you watched Jets at all this year?

I think a lot of people will think I'm a retard, but I really think it's going to be the Reggie Bush show this Sunday! Rex Ryan is going to try and blitz Brees every which way you possibly can, and Bush will benefit from it. I'm predicting 200+ all purpose yards (punting game will be good too).

Saints - 31
Jets - 17
Brees goes for 4 TD's.

With thinking you're a retard not with the whole "Reggie Bush show" thing.

quote:Nothing other than you're basing your prediction on something that just doesn't happen. In the past this has been and issue. But if you can't see the difference in this year's offense then I've got to believe you haven't been watching the Saints' games.

quote:Have you? An 0-3 Titan team ran for 170+ on the Jets. The Pats ran for 80+ and they quit running the ball early in the second half. And if you expect me to give the Jets credit for shutting down the Texans running game then you might as well hold your breath.
Have you watched Jets at all this year?

Saints 38
Jets 27
Bree's throws for @ 350 with 3 TDs
Ground game gets less than 100 yards but they come through when it matters.
