Not Allen's Fault

Don't be mad at Dennis Allen. Blaming a losing coach for losing is like getting mad at a dog for barking. Blame this oblivious front office in being so ignorant of where this roster actually is. You have good talent in its prime, but some of their most critical pieces are aging or completely substandard. This is (and should have been properly assessed to be) a rebuilding year. Sad thing is they traded their future for the win now mentality like we still have #9 taking snaps.

The best indicator of future success is past success. There’s nothing in Allen’s past that indicates success as an NFL head coach. He was hired because he was available and likely cheap. Gayle didn’t want to spend the money to hire a top line coach. If this team is a rebuild, she obviously is not likely to spend the money either. She might want to sell the team and take the cash. Then the team will probably be moved by a new owner. This might be the plan all along, let Allen run it into the ground and then sell out and let someone else rebuild the team in a new city.
